| In the age of digital transformation, banks are confronting significant challenges driven by emerging technologies, shifting customer behaviors, and evolving expectations. To remain competitive, banks must not only offer their core services but also collaborate with complementary actors within a business ecosystem to enhance the attractiveness and efficiency of these services. This paper examines the process of establishing a digital business ecosystem in the banking sector. The primary focus is on identifying and defining the value streams within the digital banking ecosystem, which are vital for the long-term success and sustainability of banks. These value streams are created through collaborative relationships between various actors, including complementary partners and enablers. The objective is for banks, as the central players in the digital banking ecosystem, to not only preserve and enhance their existing revenue streams but also to generate new ones by delivering more compelling value to their customers. The ecosystem's structure is based on meaningful interactions among its participants, enabling the realization of these value propositions. A key aspect of this research is the emphasis on core values and the interdependent relationships among ecosystem participants. Failure to capitalize on these opportunities’ risks reducing banks' future share in emerging ecosystems. |
